Period rules are used for species that are only recorded within one time period (for seasonal rules, see Period within Year). These can be open ended (with only a start date or an end date). This could be used for species that have not been recorded recently, or for flagging records of non-native species from before their known arrival date.
Records will be flagged if they are outside of the specified window.
